Somewhere I Belong

I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real.

I wanna let go of the pain I’ve held so long (Erase all the pain till it’s gone).

I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real.

I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along,

Somewhere I belong.

What a divine song by Linkin Park. What great masters constitute this band. They must be great meditators and for them; there music must be there meditation.

I could relate this song with meditation as soon as I heard this song. It was a lovely evening, and I was on my way back home. I was in the office shuttle which drops me from previous office to Hafizpet station from where I had to catch the MMTS train. The lyrics of the songs moved me a lot and I repeated the song over and over again on my i-pod Nano. Then I decided to do something about the song and here am I writing my first blog about it.

Meditation is what is missing in everybody’s life today. I strongly recommend that everybody should do meditation. Meditation is the process of making your mind empty. When you start meditating and make your mind empty then huge amount of cosmic energy flows into the physical body. The cosmic energy heals the body. When sufficient amount of cosmic energy flows into then you get to know the purpose of your life. We are all born with a purpose, with a mission, with a design, with a plan. Only the spiritually mature can understand and be aware of their particular purpose, mission, design and plan in their lives.

I always had this feeling from childhood, that I was not an earth being. A feeling which I rather can’t explain it here. This might be the reason I liked this song so much.
Somewhere I belong.

And I am sure that I will find out where I belong through meditation, and I can say that I am in the process of finding it.

Doing meditation is very easy. The steps for doing meditation are:
1)Take any comfortable posture
2)Clasp your hands. If you are sitting in a chair then cross your legs.
3)Close your eyes.
4)Observe the breath. i.e do conscious breathing. In conscious breathing, you should be aware of your breath only and nothing else.(Total attention should be on breathing alone)

So, start doing meditation as per your age. Do as many minutes in one sitting as your age is. For example, if your age is 25 do meditation for 25 minutes daily. People say they don’t find time to do meditation which I think is an excuse only. If you can find time to read this, then you can very well find time to do meditation for those 20-25 minutes. Do meditation for 40 days regularly without any breaks and see the results for yourself. Setting a fixed time for doing meditation would be helpful, like daily after you get up or before going to sleep.
